ART FLEXIBLE
Decorative Pressed Cement Screed for interior and exterior areas
CLASSIFICATION: PCCR3 according to EN-1504-3
Description – Usage
Decorative Pressed cement screed for internal & external areas, with special enhancive additives, of various types of granulometry (fine-coarse grained) of high quality. Offers powerful adhesion on many materials such as: brick, mortar, plaster, old floorings made of tiles- marbles- mosaics, even wood. Features excellent workability, great mechanical strength against flexion – compression – abrasion. Does not crack due to its flexibility and gives as a result homogenous unified surfaces. Flexible for extra strength and elasticity is recommended for areas with high demands on stresses, thermal diffusion, friction and vibration, eg. Floors with under-floor heating, high traffic areas, car parking etc.
Application
Substrate preparation
We thoroughly examine the substrate for possible unstable or rotten parts and repair them, if needed. For very glossy substrates or substrates that have gone though oscillation it is necessary to use the special quartz primer by SYSTEM TECHNICA which we let to dry completely before the application of the forged cement.
Material application
After we have chosen, according to our needs, between the two types of granulometry that SYSTEM TECHNICA provides, (fine -coarse grained), we then proceed to the application. While stirring we add 6 lit of clean water(± 0,25 lit) to 25Kg of SYSTEM TECHNICA ART and stir with low rotations until a homogenous mixture comes up. Let the mixture to settle for 5-7 minutes and then stir again without adding water. The mixture is ready to be used. Apply the mixture on the substrate with the use of a notched trowel so that it is spread evenly and we level the surface by using the straight side of the trowel making sure at the same time, that no air has been caged inside the mixture. For substrates that necessarily need larger thickness of the material, or unstable or vibrating substrates, it is necessary to use reinforced fiberglass, available from SYSTEM TECHNICA, to avoid cracks, which is encapsulated within the material while is still wet.
After the material has properly dried (and also before it has completely dried) depending on the surface, we apply one more thin layer of the material (thin and thick granule) to the surface that we level, knowing that the longer the material is drying and we press it with the appropriate spatula and sprinkle it at the same time, the more smooth and glossy the effect on the final surface will be.
Depending on the work conditions we can create the layer base and we can apply the next day the final layer of the material which will give us the final surface.
After a few days and since the final surface ( depending on the conditions) has dried well, we apply the special acrylic varnishes by SYSTEM TECHNICA which will tottaly waterproof the surface and prevent its besmirchment even from the most difficult stains.
Colors
It is produced in three basic colors: white-grey-beige and supported by additional pigments in 37 colors available by SYSTEM TECHNICA.
Consumption
Approximately 1.1-1.3 Kg/m of layer thickness depending on the substrate and the type of the material (thin and thick granule).
Storage
Store in areas of low humidity, on a pallet, up to one year from the production date and always in a sealed package.
Packaging
Available in bags of 25kg
Basic advice
The material is to be used under temperature is between 5°C and 35°C.During the summer months, due to high temperature, after the final application of the material, in order to avoid undesirable cracks caused by premature dehydration, it is recommended that the surface is sprinkled periodically for a period of 48 hour.
